Factors that can affect covid-19 vaccination.

A potential coronavirus vaccine called ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, is being developed at the University of Oxford will be trialled on people from Today, Matt Hancock revealed at Tuesday's Government briefing.

However the best way to defeat coronavirus is through a vaccine.

In 2012 and 2016, I carried out a research on the impact of immunization in two different community of two different states in Nigeria.

The findings shows that 100% coverage are yet to be achieved.
Immunization is a tool for controlling and eliminating life-threatening infectious diseases. It protects, prevent diseases and reduce mortality rates. It also reduce dependency and improves economy.

Immunization is one of the most cost-effective health investment but there are factors affecting it.

1: when primary health care services are ineffective and have deteriorated due to the lack of investment in personnel, facilities and drugs, as well as poor management of existing resources.

2: Lack of confidence and trust by the public in the health services resulting from the poor state of facilities and low standard of delivery.

3: Misperception about vaccination.

4: Religion influence

5: Political problems

6: Fear and confusion

7: Inadequate cold chain equipment

8: Shortage of vaccine and immunization supplies

Do you think these factors can affect distribution of covid-19 vaccine if approved?
