Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, May 11, approved the appointment of Mohammed Bello Shehu as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Shehu's appointment as secretary of RMAFC will take effect from Tuesday, May 19, and for an initial first term of five years.
The Nigerian leader also approved of Bitrus Chinoko's appointment as the director-general of the Centre for Management Development (CMD), Lagos. Chinoko until his appointment was in an acting capacity at the CMD, The Nation reports.
The president's approval for both appointments was announced in a statement signed and released by Willie Bassey, the director of information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday, May 11
The statement reads in part:
“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the following new appointments: Mohammad Bello Shehu as Secretary, Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) for initial first term of five years with effect from 19th March 2020.”
